Omanexpo Fair to offer wide choices of products to shoppers

Muscat, Oman, 31 January 2010 – Over 400 stalls featuring exhibitors from more than 30 countries worldwide will showcase a wide range of consumer products at the upcoming Omanexpo Fair, which will be held on February 3-12 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre in Seeb.

The Omanexpo Fair is shaping up to be one of the biggest ever consumer exhibitions in the region with the strong participation of a large number of local traders and international exhibitors. Among the countries that will be represented are Bahrain, Bangladesh, China, India, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Pakistan, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Sudan, Syria, Thailand, the UAE, Yemen and Zimbabwe.

“As an international shopping event, the Omanexpo Fair will give all shoppers the opportunity to buy a wide range of high-quality products from all over the world – all under one roof, right here in Oman,” said Nasser Diab, general manager of Omanexpo, the pioneer exhibition management company and the leading organiser of trade and consumer shows in the sultanate.

The ten-day exhibition will be open to all visitors from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and then from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm on weekdays. The exhibition timings on Fridays, February 5 and 12, will only be from 4:30 pm to 10:00 pm. On Saturday, February 6, the morning session is reserved for ladies only, while the evening session will only be for ladies and families.

Among the products that will be on display at the Omanexpo Fair are garments and textiles, leather shoes and bags, fashion accessories, beauty products, comforters and beddings, handicrafts and many other types of home décor. Other products that will be on offer include baby clothes, kitchen products, toys and gift items, sofas and furniture, food products, rugs and carpets, perfumes, and electronic products.

The media partners of the Omanexpo Fair are the Oman Tribune, Al Watan, Times of Oman, Al Shabiba, Koooora Wa Bas and Y Magazine. The official radio station of the event is Al Wisal FM.
